Products and solutions for small and medium-sized businesses
It’s not just about size: SMEs in particular benefit from using an MDM solution
Mobile devices play an important role in modern working life, even in small and medium-sized enterprises – and the trend is rising. Companies of practically all sizes and industries use smartphones, tablets, laptops or other special mobile devices. The scenarios range from communication and external data access to special applications such as scanners in warehouses.
Mobile device management systems (MDM) support the IT department in managing these mobile devices. With MDM, administrators can control not only the devices, but also mobile apps and content, regardless of the operating system. This benefits small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular, who can use MDM to ensure end-to-end mobile security that does not require large investments.
Even in smaller companies, the use of an MDM solution is worthwhile if there is intensive smartphone use – the effort required to manage the devices can be significantly reduced. And it is even more advisable the more sensitive data is on the devices, for example for companies that work in the medical or military sector.
AppTec360 Endpoint Manager for SMEs
The AppTec 360 Endpoint Manager is very attractive for medium-sized companies due to its good price-performance ratio and intuitive usability. The solution is available as a cloud version with no setup costs. However, it can also be used on-premises and is easy to set up thanks to the provided appliance.
As a regional provider based in Switzerland, AppTec has developed the AppTec 360 Endpoint Manager to support compliance with the EU GDPR. The code does not contain any backdoors that allow governments to access company data in any way, as there is no obligation to do so in the EU.
SMEs that want to use the AppTec 360 Endpoint Manager primarily for device management have the option of purchasing the solution with the devices via a lifecycle management partner. In this case, the partner purchases the MDM, equips the devices with it and then delivers them to the customer. In the event of a repair or device replacement, the customer simply has to inform the managed service provider so that they can take care of everything.
